About this trip

The waters off Tamarindo are some of the most productive inshore fishing grounds on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Roosterfish patrol the rocky points, snapper hold tight to the reefs, and during the green-water months mahi-mahi push in close to the beach.

This is a private charter on a well-equipped 26 ft boat. Rods, reels, bait, tackle, and licenses are all included — you bring sunscreen and a hat. The captain rigs everything for you and helps with every fight, so first-timers land their first fish on the same trip as veterans land their fiftieth.

Half-day trips (4 hours) leave early to catch the morning bite. Full-day trips (8 hours) push further offshore and target a wider mix of species. Catch can be cleaned and bagged for you to take home.
